Restless & Dynamic

Ruling Planet of Wednesday: Mercury

Wednesday belongs to Mercury: messages, errands, negotiation and quick thinking. Excellent for working an idea out loud, less good for signing anything final.

The day's theme · editorial

Communication and intellect are highlighted. Express yourself clearly. Undercurrents matter more than surface words. Read the room and trust subtle cues.

Station dates are UTC, from a tracked ephemeris table verified against two independent ephemerides. The readings and the theme are hand-written and traditional: one per planet and element, the same for every reader, never derived from your chart.

Cosmic Recalibration Windows

6 annual junctures where old patterns dissolve and new intentions carry unusual weight.

Lunar Eclipse Corridor August 28, 2026 9 days

A lunar eclipse is a full moon passing through the Earth's shadow, and the Moon carries the second generation, the parents, in the Septenary line. Tradition reads the window as a prompt toward family and inheritance: what has been running quietly in the line, and what you would rather not look at. That is an invitation to look, offered as tradition, not a claim about what your family is doing this fortnight.

Autumn Equinox September 22, 2026 34 days

The second balance point. The year turns inward. A window for consolidation - gathering the harvest of the year's work and beginning the descent into reflection and depth.

Winter Solstice December 21, 2026 124 days

The most powerful annual reset. The Sun enters Capricorn and old programs are wiped clean. Ancient traditions held this as the moment when time loses its ordinary texture - use it to construct a fresh internal order for the year ahead.

Spring Equinox March 20, 2027 213 days

Day and night reach perfect balance. The Zoroastrian New Year (Nowruz) begins here. A window for initiating what the Winter Solstice planted - the moment when internal intentions meet the outward world.

Summer Solstice June 21, 2027 306 days

The year reaches its peak of outward expression. Review what has unfolded since the Solstice reset and course-correct. A powerful window for releasing what has already served its purpose.

Solar Eclipse Corridor August 2, 2027 348 days

A solar eclipse is a new moon whose alignment is exact enough for the Moon to cross the Sun, and tradition reads the fortnight around it as a corridor rather than a single day. Traditionally it is the new-moon themes, beginnings and clearings, read at higher contrast. The page describes the sky, not your week: it is an invitation to notice what is already moving, and no reason to hurry or hold a decision that stands on its own merits.

Understanding Cosmic Weather

Cosmic weather describes the quality of energy available on any given day - not a fixed fate, but conditions you can navigate more skillfully.

Moon Phase

The Moon completes a full cycle every 29.5 days, moving through all 12 signs along the way. Its phase and the sign it occupies flavour emotional life and instinctual responses every 2-3 days.

Ruling Planet

Each day of the week is traditionally ruled by a planet. The ruling body amplifies its corresponding themes: Venus days favour connection, Mars days drive action.

Element of the Day

Fire, Earth, Air and Water take turns. The element of the day is the element of the sign the Moon is currently in, so it shifts every 2 to 3 days as the Moon moves through the zodiac.

Planetary Stations

When a planet slows to station retrograde or direct, its influence is felt more intensely - the sky pausing to emphasise a lesson.

Think of the cosmic weather as a weather report, not a commandment. On a stormy day you bring an umbrella - you don't cancel your life. A high-energy Mars day is an invitation to take decisive action, not a guarantee things will go smoothly. This page describes the sky, which is the same sky for everyone; it is not calculated from your birth chart. Pair it with a personal reading built from your own birth details for a picture that is actually yours.

The Moon phase, its illumination percentage, the sign the Moon is in, and how far through the 29.5-day cycle it is are all calculated from the true Sun-Moon elongation for the date you are viewing. The element of the day is the element of that Moon sign, so it is measured the same way. The zodiac season and the Sun's degree in it are computed for the same date. The ruling planet is the classical rulership of that weekday. Retrograde and station dates come from a tracked ephemeris table. The written guidance around those figures is editorial: a hand-written pool of messages on a daily rotation, general to each sign rather than derived from your chart.

Cosmic weather updates automatically at midnight UTC each day. The Moon phase and Moon sign are recalculated for the date; retrograde periods come from a tracked ephemeris table.
