What is Hermeticism?

Hermeticism is an ancient philosophical tradition attributed to Hermes Trismegistus. The Kybalion (1908) distilled these teachings into seven principles. Alongside each one we name a real, published study whose pattern rhymes with it - from fractal geometry to epigenetics. The studies are genuine and you can look them up. None of them tests a Hermetic principle, and none of them is evidence that astrology works.

The famous axiom "as above, so below" is the philosophical foundation of astrology - celestial patterns corresponding to earthly ones. This calculator makes that correspondence explicit in your own chart.

How It Works

Create Your Analysis

Calculate your horoscope analysis first. Your birth data, planetary placements, and ancestral patterns are used to generate the Hermetic profile automatically.

Get Your Profile

Seven principles are each scored 0-100 based on your analysis results - element balance, sign placements, and generational patterns. Your Hermetic Quotient (HQ) is computed.

Explore & Grow

Read personalized interpretations for each principle. See which are Dominant, Active, or Developing. Ask AI for deeper insights on any principle.

The Seven Principles

Mentalism

The All is Mind

How you construct your mental reality. Your Mercury placement reveals the lens through which your mind shapes experience.

Parallel, not proof

"People who only imagined playing piano developed the same brain changes as those who actually played."

- Pascual-Leone et al., 1995, Journal of Neurophysiology

Correspondence

As Above, So Below

How your conscious self mirrors your deepest ancestral purpose. The alignment between who you are and where you came from.

Parallel, not proof

"The pattern of rivers across a continent is mathematically identical to blood vessels in your body - fractal dimension ~1.7."

- Mandelbrot, 1982; West/Brown/Enquist, 1997, Science

Vibration

Nothing Rests

Your dominant emotional frequency. The Moon reveals whether you vibrate at high intensity or deep stability.

Parallel, not proof

"Even in the emptiest void at absolute zero, energy vibrates. The 2017 Nobel Prize proved every cell in your body keeps a molecular clock."

- Casimir Effect (Casimir, 1948; Lamoreaux, 1997); Nobel Prize Circadian Rhythms (2017)

Polarity

Opposites are the Same

How you experience duality. Your Lilith-Selena axis reveals the tension between inherited shadow and inherited light.

Parallel, not proof

"Brain scans show love and hate activate the same neural hardware - the putamen and insula light up for both."

- Zeki & Romaya, 2008, PLOS ONE

Rhythm

Everything Flows

Where you are in life's natural cycles. Your totem position and planetary age reveal whether to push, flow, or rest.

Parallel, not proof

"In 1665, two pendulum clocks on the same shelf mysteriously synchronized. 360 years later, we know this is universal - from fireflies to heartbeats."

- Huygens (1665); Kuramoto model (1975); Nobel Prize Cell Cycle (2001)

Cause & Effect

Nothing Happens by Chance

How visible your karmic patterns are. Saturn's dignity and your detected ancestral patterns reveal the causal chains operating in your life.

Parallel, not proof

"Mice inherited a fear of cherry blossom scent from fathers who were conditioned - pups who never experienced the trauma showed the same fear response."

- Dias & Ressler, 2014, Nature Neuroscience

Creative Balance

Creation Requires Two

The balance between projective and receptive energy. Mars and Venus reveal whether you lead with action or reception - and how to activate the other.

Parallel, not proof

"Every photo, message, and video on your phone is built from only two values: 1 and 0. Infinite complexity from two complementary states."

- Shannon, 1948, A Mathematical Theory of Communication

An honest note. Every study quoted above is real and published, and each one describes a genuine finding in its own field. None of them studied astrology, Hermeticism or birth charts, and none of them supports the mapping on this page. We cite them because the pattern rhymes, not because they are evidence. Hermetic Resonance is a reflective, symbolic tool - your scores are computed from your own chart placements, but what they mean is interpretation, not measurement.

Alchemical Stages

Your HQ maps to five stages - the same progression alchemists used to describe transformation. Higher = more active resonance, not "better."

Philosopher's Gold Rubedo Score 85+
Silver Adept Albedo Score 70+
Awakening Copper Citrinitas Score 55+
Raw Iron Nigredo Score 40+
Uncut Stone Prima Materia Score 0+

The seven principles are scored against your own chart rather than a type, and casting it takes about ten seconds. The profile it feeds opens with the full reading: all seven principles, the heptagram, your HQ score and your alchemical stage. Cast your chart →
