The year, written for Gemini

written from the dated list above, the same for every Gemini

The year in brief: your ninth, first and sixth houses

Your ninth house, Aquarius, carries the year's strongest emphasis on travel, study, belief and publishing, with ten dated events shaping questions about what you know and where you want to go. As a Gemini, you are a mutable air sign, traditionally ruled by Mercury. Your first house, Gemini, is also busy, with nine dated events focused on self, body and beginnings; your sixth house, Scorpio, has nine, turning attention to work routines, service and daily upkeep. These are invitations to review how ideas, identity and practical commitments fit together, not predictions set in stone. Mercury's three retrogrades make revision a recurring theme, while the eclipses mark shifts in perspective, home life, shared resources and communication. The year's clearest change of emphasis arrives when Jupiter enters Virgo on 26 July, moving into your fourth house of home, family and roots. Consider what kind of domestic foundation supports the life you are building.

Dates here: 26 July

Growth: the annular eclipse in your ninth house on 6 February

The annular solar eclipse in your ninth house, Aquarius, on 6 February puts a fresh question around study, travel, belief or publishing. An eclipse is a marker for reflection, not a promise of a particular outcome. The North Node remains in Aquarius, your ninth house, while the South Node stays in Leo, your third house, all year. That axis invites you to weigh broader understanding against familiar conversations and local concerns. The annular eclipse and the penumbral lunar eclipse in Aquarius on 17 August both bring the ninth-house subjects into focus. Pluto remains in Aquarius, your ninth house, and turns retrograde around 8 May before turning direct around 17 October. Its long passage can prompt close examination of convictions and the sources behind them. Keep room for evidence that complicates a settled view.

Saturn and Neptune are in Aries, your eleventh house, all year. Saturn turns retrograde around 9 August and direct around 24 December; Neptune turns retrograde around 9 July and direct around 15 December. Friends, groups and long-range hopes may call for both clearer boundaries and a more honest look at ideals. Ask what you can contribute without taking responsibility for everyone's plans, and which shared aims still feel meaningful. Uranus is in Gemini, your first house, all year. Its direct station on 8 February and retrograde station on 15 September make self-definition and fresh approaches to beginnings recurring themes. Mercury enters Taurus, your twelfth house, on 24 April, offering a useful prompt to make space for quiet, private thought. Rest and solitude can help you hear your own perspective, without needing to turn every insight into a decision.

Dates here: 6 February, around 8 May, around 9 July, around 9 August, 17 August, around 24 December

Love and close bonds: Mercury, your ruler, turns direct in your fifth house on 28 October

Mercury, your ruler, turns direct in your fifth house, Libra, on 28 October. Romance, children, play and creative work may benefit from revisiting conversations or plans that have been under review. Mercury turns retrograde in Scorpio, your sixth house, on 7 October, then enters Libra, moving backward, on 16 October; it turns direct in Libra on 28 October. This is a useful stretch for noticing how daily obligations affect time for affection and pleasure, and for making room to talk things through. Venus enters Libra, your fifth house, on the night of 13 to 14 September, bringing a softer emphasis to enjoyment and creative exchange. Venus enters Sagittarius, your seventh house, on 7 January and again on 1 November, and enters Capricorn, your eighth house, on 3 February and 25 November. These passages invite attention to partnership and shared resources, with honest conversation more useful than assumptions.

Your seventh house, Sagittarius, holds a Full Moon on the night of 18 to 19 June and a New Moon on 28 November. The Full Moon can illuminate the balance between your needs and a close bond; the New Moon offers a moment to consider what you want to begin or renew in partnership. Mars enters Sagittarius on the night of 15 to 16 October, adding emphasis to direct negotiation and the way disagreements are handled. Your eighth house, Capricorn, hosts the penumbral lunar eclipse on 18 July, a prompt to review debts, shared money, intimacy or endings with care. Mercury enters Capricorn, your eighth house, on 18 December, making clear terms and candid discussion especially relevant. The year's eclipses fall in your ninth, fourth, eighth and third houses, not your fifth or seventh. Jupiter is in your third and then fourth houses; Saturn is in your eleventh, not your romance or partnership houses. Take these patterns as prompts for reflection, not verdicts about any relationship.

Dates here: the night of 18 to 19 June, 18 July, 7 October, 28 November

Home and family: the total eclipse in your third house on 2 August

The total eclipse in your third house, Leo, on 2 August brings a vivid focus to messages, nearby ties, siblings and short trips. It may be a useful point to reflect on how information moves through your daily life and what deserves a clearer conversation. The annular solar eclipse in Aquarius, your ninth house, on 6 February also highlights the contrast between local knowledge and a wider view, while the penumbral lunar eclipse in Virgo, your fourth house, on the night of 20 to 21 February brings home and family matters into the picture. The penumbral lunar eclipse in Aquarius on 17 August returns attention to questions of study, travel or belief that can shape your sense of place.

Your fourth house, Virgo, becomes more prominent when Jupiter enters it on 26 July. Jupiter remains there until 24 August 2028, giving home, family and roots a longer period of attention. Mars enters Virgo on 14 May, and Mercury enters Virgo on 17 August; each adds a practical prompt to consider what needs tending at home. The Sun enters Virgo on 23 August. This is a season to review household routines, family expectations and the meaning of belonging. Mercury enters Leo, your third house, on 2 August. The Sun enters Leo on the night of 22 to 23 July. These passages bring local conversations, messages and short trips into focus. A simple check-in with a neighbour or sibling, or a little care with travel details, can make communication more considered.

Dates here: 6 February, the night of 20 to 21 February, 2 August, 17 August

Work and money: Mercury, your ruler, turns retrograde in your tenth house on 9 February

Mercury, your ruler, turns retrograde in your tenth house, Pisces, on 9 February. Career direction, reputation and public responsibilities may call for a second look; use the period to clarify expectations and revisit wording before settling on a plan. Mercury turns direct in Aquarius, your ninth house, on 3 March, then enters Pisces again on 18 March. The tenth-house emphasis returns as Venus enters Pisces on 26 March. Reflect on how public ambitions connect with learning and the beliefs behind your work.

Your sixth house, Scorpio, concerns routines, service and daily upkeep. Mercury enters Scorpio on 27 September, turns retrograde there on 7 October, and returns on the night of 9 to 10 November. Mars enters Scorpio on 2 September. These transits invite a practical review of workload, handovers and the systems that make tasks manageable. Your second house, Cancer, brings income, possessions and values into view: Mercury enters it on 28 May, turns retrograde there on 10 June, then returns on 12 July. Jupiter is in your third house until 26 July, then enters your fourth house; Saturn is in your eleventh house until 13 April 2028. Mars does not enter your tenth or second house this year. Consider which commitments are worth the time and resources they ask of you.

Dates here: 9 February, 18 March, 10 June, 7 October

Body and energy: Mercury, your ruler, turns direct in your sign on 4 July

Mercury, your ruler, turns direct in your sign, Gemini, on 4 July. Its station in your first house is a pacing marker: after a period of review, consider what routines feel workable and what has been taking more attention than expected. Mercury turns retrograde in Cancer, your second house, on 10 June, then enters Gemini, moving backward, on 26 June. It turns direct in Gemini on 4 July. These dates can prompt a review of how time, money and personal priorities shape your daily rhythm.

Uranus remains in your first house all year, turning direct on 8 February and retrograde on 15 September. Its stations invite fresh thought about habits and how you begin things, while leaving the choices with you. Mercury also turns retrograde in Scorpio, your sixth house, on 7 October, then direct in Libra, your fifth house, on 28 October. For daily upkeep, use that interval to notice which tasks are essential and where a lighter schedule might be possible. Rest is not a reward for finishing everything; it can be part of a sustainable pace. Treat these transits as reflective prompts, not instructions or predictions about health.

About this page

How the dates are computed

Every date on this page was computed for 2027 by Horospire's own ephemeris, in universal time (UTC); a reader west of Greenwich may see an evening event dated a day earlier in their calendar. The engine is a Meeus-series ephemeris measured against NASA JPL's DE440 at 551,520 placements from 1900 to 2050: the Sun within 0.15 arcminutes on average, the planets within 0.4 to 0.8, the Moon within 1.2; about one placement in 3,600 lands in a different sign, always within a few arcminutes of a sign's edge. For 2027 the New and Full Moons on this page fall within eight minutes of NASA's published times, the Sun's sign changes within five minutes, the stations of Mercury, Venus and Mars within two hours, and those of the outer planets within seven hours, which is why an outer planet's station is given as "around" a date. Eclipse dates, kinds and types are NASA's; the degree of each eclipse is the New or Full Moon computed by this engine, within two arcminutes of JPL's. Retrograde dates for Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn come from a station table cross-checked against two independent ephemerides and held to this engine by a test on every run; the outer planets' stations are computed. Houses are counted from your Sun sign in whole signs, a convention, not a measurement; the lunar nodes are the mean nodes; which planet rules which sign is the classical tradition. Accurate positions say nothing about whether astrology is true: the arithmetic is measured, the reading is not.

How the text is written

An AI model wrote the text from the computed list on this page, and every sentence that names a date, a sign or a house was checked against that list before it was published; a sentence the list does not hold was refused. The text is the same for every Gemini reader, published in October 2026; no editor signs it.

The pictures

The picture at the top is generated, not a photograph. The Moons in the lanes are NASA's photograph of the Moon, shaded to their phase.
