The year, written for Virgo

written from the dated list above, the same for every Virgo

The year in brief: your sixth, third and eighth houses

Your sixth house, Aquarius, carries a busy calendar around work routines, service and the daily upkeep that supports your life. Virgo is a mutable earth sign, traditionally ruled by Mercury, so this year's repeated Mercury stations invite you to review how plans, conversations and priorities fit together. Your third house, Scorpio, is also active, bringing attention to messages, nearby connections and short trips; your eighth house, Aries, holds sustained questions around shared finances, debts, intimacy and endings. These three houses carry many of the year's dated movements, making practical systems, clear communication and honest agreements useful places to focus. The most distinctive shift is Jupiter entering Virgo on 26 July, moving into your first house of self, body and beginnings. Before then, Jupiter occupies your twelfth house, where its traditional symbolism is more private and reflective. Consider what deserves your attention, and leave room to revise your approach as the year unfolds.

Dates here: 26 July

Work and money: the annular eclipse in your sixth house on 6 February

The annular eclipse in your sixth house, Aquarius, on 6 February brings work routines and daily responsibilities into focus. As a symbolic marker, it can prompt a useful review of how your time is spent and which tasks genuinely serve your priorities. Pluto remains in this house all year, with a retrograde stretch from around 8 May to around 17 October. The North Node is here too, while the South Node occupies your twelfth house, Leo, keeping the contrast between service and retreat in view. The 17 August penumbral lunar eclipse also falls in your sixth house, another moment for reflection on workload and upkeep.

Uranus in your tenth house, Gemini, keeps career and public standing under a long-term current of change. It turns direct on 8 February and turns retrograde on 15 September, inviting review of professional direction and the image you present. Mercury, your ruler, turns retrograde on 10 June in your eleventh house, Cancer, then moves back into your tenth house, Gemini, on 26 June. Mercury turns direct on 4 July in your tenth house, so conversations and plans around reputation may benefit from a second look. Mercury enters Gemini on 9 May, and the Sun enters Gemini on 21 May. Mars does not enter your tenth house this year, but its movement through your first house and second house connects personal initiative with income and values. Mars enters Libra, your second house, on 15 July. Saturn and Neptune in your eighth house, Aries, add a serious, sometimes ambiguous backdrop to shared resources. For practical clarity, put agreements in plain language and check whether your workload is matched by fair compensation.

Dates here: 6 February, 8 February, around 8 May, 9 May, 10 June, 26 June, 17 August, 15 September

Love and close bonds: Saturn in your eighth house all year

Saturn in your eighth house, Aries, all year brings a sober emphasis to shared money, intimacy and the responsibilities that come with close ties. Saturn is in Aries until 13 April 2028, and turns retrograde around 9 August. Neptune is also in your eighth house, turning retrograde around 9 July and direct around 15 December. Together, these slow-moving influences invite reflection on where trust, financial boundaries and emotional expectations are clear, and where they need a more honest conversation. Venus enters Aries, your eighth house, on 20 April, adding a softer lens to questions of closeness and mutual support.

Your seventh house, Pisces, holds partnership and one-to-one bonds. Mercury turns retrograde there on 9 February, then returns to your seventh house on 18 March. The New Moon in Pisces on 8 March offers a symbolic point to consider what you want from an agreement or relationship. Venus enters Pisces on 26 March, bringing attention to tenderness and reciprocal care. The Full Moon in Pisces on the night of 15 to 16 September can make partnership needs more visible, a prompt to listen as carefully as you speak.

Romance, children, play and creative work belong to your fifth house, Capricorn. Venus enters Capricorn on 3 February and again on 25 November. The penumbral lunar eclipse in Capricorn on 18 July falls in your fifth house, inviting reflection on pleasure, creative commitments or the balance between care and personal enjoyment. Rather than treating any date as a verdict, use these periods to name expectations, discuss shared costs and make space for affection that feels mutual.

Dates here: 9 February, 8 March, 18 March, around 9 July, 18 July, around 9 August, the night of 15 to 16 September, around 24 December

Growth: the total eclipse in your twelfth house on 2 August

The total solar eclipse in your twelfth house, Leo, on 2 August turns attention toward rest, privacy and what has been kept out of view. Its symbolism offers a reason to make room for quiet and to notice which private concerns are taking up space, without assuming a particular outcome. Jupiter remains in this house until 26 July, and the South Node stays here all year. This combination emphasizes reflection and release as themes, while the North Node in your sixth house points toward the everyday practices that support service and upkeep.

Your ninth house, Taurus, concerns study, travel, belief and publishing. Mercury enters Taurus on 24 April, a useful time to review a course of study, research or a travel plan with care. Your eleventh house, Cancer, brings friends, groups and hopes into view. Mercury enters Cancer on 28 May and returns on 12 July; it turns retrograde there on 10 June, so conversations within a group may benefit from patient listening and clear follow-up. Venus enters Gemini, your tenth house, on 8 June, while Mercury's career-sector movement can bring public aims into the same conversation. Uranus in your tenth house, Gemini, keeps professional direction open to revision. Treat these symbols as prompts for questions, not promises: which hopes still feel meaningful, and what time or attention do they ask of you?

Dates here: 10 June, 2 August

Home and family: Mercury, your ruler, turns retrograde in your third house on 7 October

Mercury, your ruler, turns retrograde in your third house, Scorpio, on 7 October. This period can be a useful prompt to reread messages, clarify arrangements with siblings or neighbours, and allow extra thought around short trips. Mercury moves back into your second house on 16 October and turns direct there on 28 October, linking communication with questions of money and values as well as local plans.

Mercury enters Scorpio on 27 September, then returns to Scorpio on the night of 9 to 10 November. The Sun enters Scorpio on 23 October. These movements bring the third house's everyday exchanges into focus, from practical errands to conversations that deserve more attention. Your fourth house, Sagittarius, speaks to home, family and roots. Venus enters Sagittarius on 7 January and again on 1 November, while Mars enters Sagittarius on the night of 15 to 16 October. The Sun enters Sagittarius on 22 November, and Mercury enters Sagittarius on 29 November. Consider which household conversations could use a calmer setting, and what small, concrete step would make home life feel more workable.

Dates here: 7 October

Body and energy: Jupiter enters your sign on 26 July

Jupiter enters your first house, Virgo, on 26 July, shifting its symbolism toward selfhood, beginnings and the way you set your pace. This can be an invitation to make room for habits that feel sustainable, without turning every intention into another demand. Mars turns retrograde on 10 January in your first house, then moves into your twelfth house on 21 February. It turns direct on 1 April, and enters Virgo again on 14 May. These shifts describe a year in which effort and rest may need regular renegotiation.

Mercury, your ruler, turns retrograde on 9 February and turns direct on 3 March, then turns retrograde on 10 June in your eleventh house and turns direct on 4 July in your tenth house, and turns retrograde on 7 October and direct on 28 October. Its stations offer recurring pauses for reviewing schedules, instructions and daily priorities. Pluto and the North Node in your sixth house keep routines and service prominent. Try choosing a manageable rhythm, with genuine downtime built into it, rather than measuring your worth by how much you complete.

Dates here: 10 January, 9 February, 10 June, 26 July, 7 October

About this page

How the dates are computed

Every date on this page was computed for 2027 by Horospire's own ephemeris, in universal time (UTC); a reader west of Greenwich may see an evening event dated a day earlier in their calendar. The engine is a Meeus-series ephemeris measured against NASA JPL's DE440 at 551,520 placements from 1900 to 2050: the Sun within 0.15 arcminutes on average, the planets within 0.4 to 0.8, the Moon within 1.2; about one placement in 3,600 lands in a different sign, always within a few arcminutes of a sign's edge. For 2027 the New and Full Moons on this page fall within eight minutes of NASA's published times, the Sun's sign changes within five minutes, the stations of Mercury, Venus and Mars within two hours, and those of the outer planets within seven hours, which is why an outer planet's station is given as "around" a date. Eclipse dates, kinds and types are NASA's; the degree of each eclipse is the New or Full Moon computed by this engine, within two arcminutes of JPL's. Retrograde dates for Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn come from a station table cross-checked against two independent ephemerides and held to this engine by a test on every run; the outer planets' stations are computed. Houses are counted from your Sun sign in whole signs, a convention, not a measurement; the lunar nodes are the mean nodes; which planet rules which sign is the classical tradition. Accurate positions say nothing about whether astrology is true: the arithmetic is measured, the reading is not.

How the text is written

An AI model wrote the text from the computed list on this page, and every sentence that names a date, a sign or a house was checked against that list before it was published; a sentence the list does not hold was refused. The text is the same for every Virgo reader, published in October 2026; no editor signs it.

The pictures

The picture at the top is generated, not a photograph. The Moons in the lanes are NASA's photograph of the Moon, shaded to their phase.
