Frequently Asked Questions

Horospire is an ancestral horoscope platform inspired by ancient Zoroastrian cosmology (the Bundahishn and Avestan Fravashi tradition), with modern epigenetic research cited alongside it as an honest parallel rather than as proof. It maps your birth chart across 7 ancestral generations using the classical planetary order - Sun through Saturn - to reveal inherited traits, ancestral patterns, and your unique cosmic blueprint.

The 7 generations follow the ancient planetary order: 1st Sun/Hvarenah (Yourself), 2nd Moon/Mah (Parents), 3rd Mercury/Tir (Grandparents), 4th Venus/Anahid (Great-grandparents), 5th Mars/Wahram (Great-great-grandparents), 6th Jupiter/Ohrmazd (3x-great-grandparents), 7th Saturn/Kaywan (4x-great-grandparents). Each planetary position reveals traits inherited from that ancestral generation.

Fravashi are ancestral guardian spirits in Zoroastrian tradition (Avesta, Yasht 13) - the idea that ancestral spirits influence descendants through seven generations is the philosophical root of our system. Epigenetics is cited beside it as an honest parallel, never as confirmation: the Overkalix study linked grandparents' childhood food supply to their grandchildren's health, the Dutch Hunger Winter study found altered DNA methylation persisting into the next generation, and Rachel Yehuda's work on Holocaust descendants documented altered stress hormone profiles. That research reaches grandchildren, not seven generations, and none of it studied astrology or tests the Fravashi model.

All planetary positions are calculated using precise astronomical ephemeris data. Core results - zodiac signs, Lilith/Selena positions, totem animals, blessings, hexagrams, cosmic energy windows - are computed by proprietary algorithms based on historical astrological sources, not generated by AI. Advanced models are only used as a second step to further interpret the already-calculated output. Horospire is designed for self-reflection and entertainment, not scientific prediction.

Only your birth date (day, month, year) and gender are required. Your exact birth time sharpens the Moon sign and every time-sensitive calculation, and your birth place adds your Ascendant and the 12 houses. Your parents' birth dates, parents' death dates and grandparents' birth and death dates, your birth method, and whether you are the firstborn are optional too: they feed Part two, Ancestral Patterns, which opens with the full reading. Even with just a birth date you receive a comprehensive ancestral analysis.

The family details feed Part two, Ancestral Patterns, which opens with the full reading; your free chapter does not change with them. Parents' birth dates enable a deeper inherited gift and challenge analysis plus the freedom-from-family-karma check (your Sun standing opposite a parent's Sun). Parents' death dates and grandparents' birth and death dates feed the Eight Keys check: a birth within 5 days of a parent's or grandparent's birth or death date marks a strong inherited connection. Birth place enables your Ascendant and house placements. Birth method adds the tradition's note on cesarean births. The firstborn flag marks that your chart ties more strongly to your parents' Sun, Moon, and Ascendant. Gender sets the primary lineage: the tradition reads the father's line as primary for men and the mother's line for women.

Two points in your chart form the core of Ancestral Patterns. Lilith (Black Moon) is a calculated point (the mean lunar apogee model) and Selena (White Moon) is a symbolic point in the tradition rather than a measured body. Lilith reads as inherited challenges: recurring struggles the tradition places in the family line. Selena reads as inherited gifts: strengths the tradition says your ancestors built. The system detects pattern types like Core Echo, Mirror Pattern, Amplified Echo, and Rooted Shadow for challenges, and Core Light, Inherited Harmony, Amplified Light, and Rooted Gift for blessings.

Your totem animal comes from a 32-year Zoroastrian calendar cycle - it represents your innate nature and archetypal energy (each totem has an anti-totem representing opposing energy). The hexagram connects your 7th generation (Saturn/Kaywan) to the I Ching, revealing karmic patterns from your deepest ancestral roots.

A section that sets your actual zodiac sign for each of the 7 generations beside a real published study on inherited biology - from stress-response research (parents) to the Overkalix nutritional study (grandparents). The studies are genuine and citable. Pairing a particular study with a particular ancestral generation is Horospire's own interpretive choice, not a finding of that research.

A unique Horospire feature that maps the 7 universal laws from the Hermetic tradition (The Kybalion) to your ancestral birth chart. Each principle - Mentalism, Correspondence, Vibration, Polarity, Rhythm, Cause & Effect, and Creative Balance - is scored 0-100 based on your planetary placements, element balance, and ancestral patterns. The result is your Hermetic Quotient (HQ), a composite score mapped to alchemical stages from Uncut Stone to Philosopher's Gold. Each principle is paired with a real published study whose pattern rhymes with it, from fractal geometry to transgenerational epigenetics - offered as an analogy, not as evidence that the principle is true.

It opens with the full reading, and then all 7 principles are open with their breakdowns, the heptagram, and the Hermetic Quotient and alchemical stage that come from them. A free account has no Hermetic principle. Monthly, Yearly and Pro subscribers also get AI-powered deep dives into each principle.

Life Guidance is designed for real-life decisions - "Should I take this job?", "How do I fix my relationship?". Unlike the casual Chat (quick short replies), Life Guidance uses a higher-level model that produces one in-depth, structured answer per question, weaving together your full chart - citing specific planetary placements, ancestral patterns, element balance, and current life period. Available for Monthly and Yearly (3/day), Pro (10/day), and VIP (unlimited).

The Family Tree Builder maps multiple family members' horoscopes and detects shared patterns across your lineage, including recurring Lilith/Selena patterns, element distribution, Mirror Patterns between parent-child pairs, and Inherited Harmonies. It is included with every paid plan. Basic Compatibility is free and compares two charts across all 7 generations plus ancestral patterns, with love, career, friendship, and cross-healing scores.

Fun, AI-generated entertainment features. The Roast is a humorous take on your specific chart placements. The Past Life Reading imagines who you were in a past life based on your Saturn and Moon signs. Both are clearly labeled as entertainment.

A private space to save personal reflections and notes attached to your analysis. Track how ancestral patterns show up in your daily life, record insights, and build a personal log of your cosmic exploration.

A suite of advanced astrological tools for Pro subscribers. It includes Secondary Progressions, Solar Arc Directions, Solar and Lunar Returns, Annual Profections, Harmonics, Fixed Stars, Arabic Parts/Lots, Composite and Davison Charts, Firdaria, Zodiacal Releasing, Tasyir, Lunar Mansions, and Almuten Figuris. Its lineage tools are Life Point Timeline, Vitality of the Line, Upbringing Key, Lilith Return, and Relocated Chart. All tools use the same local ephemeris engine as your core reading.

Secondary Progressions advance your birth chart by one day per year of life to reveal evolving themes and timing. Solar Returns cast a chart for the exact moment the Sun returns to your birth position each year, showing annual themes. Lunar Returns do the same monthly, mapping shorter emotional and psychological cycles. All three are essential timing techniques in professional astrology.

Annual Profections are a classical technique that activates a different house and its ruling planet (Time Lord) each year of life, cycling through all 12 houses. Firdaria divides life into major planetary periods (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn) with sub-periods, showing which planet governs your current life phase. Both help you understand what themes are active right now.

Harmonics divide the zodiac into harmonic numbers (H2-H360) to reveal hidden patterns - your age harmonic is particularly revealing. Fixed Stars checks if any of 30 major stars (like Regulus, Algol, Spica) conjunct your planets. Arabic Parts (Lots) calculate 14 classical sensitive points like the Part of Fortune, Part of Spirit, and Part of Marriage by combining planetary positions. These are advanced techniques used in traditional and modern professional astrology.

Composite Charts combine two birth charts into one relationship chart showing the dynamics between two people. The tool includes both the Composite method (midpoints of each planet pair) and the Davison chart (time-space midpoint), plus full Synastry aspects showing how your planets interact with the other person's. Includes Venus-Mars dynamics, Sun-Moon compatibility, and element harmony analysis.

No. The Natal Chart and Aspects analysis are included with every paid plan, including One reading. The advanced tools require Pro: Progressions, Solar Arc Directions, Returns, Profections, Harmonics, Fixed Stars, Arabic Parts, Composite and Davison Charts, Firdaria, Zodiacal Releasing, Tasyir, Lunar Mansions, Almuten Figuris, Life Point Timeline, Vitality of the Line, Upbringing Key, Lilith Return, and Relocated Chart.

Daily Affirmations gives you one affirmation a day from a pool of 48 hand-written lines across love, career, health, and spiritual themes, each with a short note on the classical meaning behind it. Which line you see rotates with the date, and your sun sign shifts where in that rotation you land when we have your birth date on file. It is written copy on a schedule, not a value calculated from your chart, and only four of the 48 lines are in circulation on any given day. The Streak Dashboard tracks your daily engagement - logging in, reading cosmic weather, embracing affirmations. Group Analysis lets you enter birth data for multiple people to see group dynamics, element distribution, and compatibility patterns. Affirmations and Streaks require a free account; Group Analysis is available at /group.

One reading ($10.99 one-time) buys one full 7-generation analysis. The seven chapters stay on your account for good. Chat, PDF and chart tools for this reading, plus your daily reading read aloud, are open for 30 days from the day you open it. After that the reading stays readable and the tools close. Monthly Access ($14.99/month) and Yearly Access ($89.99/year) both add higher daily limits, multiple analyses, Life Guidance, and Hermetic AI deep dives. Pro Access ($199.99/year) adds the full Professional Astrology Toolkit with progressions, returns, harmonics, fixed stars, composites, and more. Every paid plan except One reading renews automatically until you cancel. Chapter one is free in full. The other six open with the full reading.
